Services for Clarence Richard “Bud” Kirk were Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Jimtown Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Vinson officiating.

Born August 23, 1923, at Foreman, Arkansas, Mr. Kirk died November 18, 1991, at his home at Jimtown at the age of 68. Mr. Kirk had made his home at Jimtown the past 10 years, moving there from Justin, Texas.

He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army and a farmer.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Kirk of Burleson, Texas, and William Kirk of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Katrina Simpson of Marietta; two brothers, Joe Kirk of Marietta and Harvey “Peck” Kirk of Justin; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Interment was in the Leon Cemetery under the direction of the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers were John McBride, Billy Wayne Cooper, Johnny Gordon, Boog Taliaferro, David Howerton, and Joe Russell. Honorary bearers included Kenneth Stofel and Tony Ramon.
