Services for Faye Hicks, Jimtown, were Thursday at 2:00 in he Marietta Church of Christ with Mr. Allen Eck and Mr. John Broesh officiating.
Mrs. Hicks was born March 28, 1902 in Cottondale, Texas, the daughter of the late Christopher M. and Julia Ann Roman Gipson. She died May 16, 1988 in the Love County Health Center, Marietta. A resident of Love County most of her life, Mrs. Hicks was an artist and a homemaker. She was also a member of the Church of Christ, American Legion Auxiliary and Burneyville Home Demonstration Club.
Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by her husband, James Archie Hicks on January 6, 1964 and a grandson, Ronnie Hicks, in 1970.
Survivors include four sons, Thurston Hicks and James Weldon Hicks of Jimtown, Duane Hicks of Keller, Texas and Myron Hicks of Mineral Wells, Texas; a brother, Vincent Gipson, of Lebanon, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Grandsons and grandsons-in-law were pall bearers.
