Graveside services with military honors for Jerry L. Harrison, 70, of Marietta, were held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 14 in the Leon Cemetery, Leon with Rev. John Sconce officiating.

Born December 31, 1941 in Hot Springs, North Carolina, he died Saturday, August 11, 2012 in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta.

On June 1, 1962 he married Marcell Reed in Clovis, New Mexico.

A veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, Jerry served with the United States Air Force. He had been employed as a liaison engineer for Weber Aircraft in Gainesville, Texas for over 30 years. He was a member of the Shady Dale Baptist Church.

Mr. Harrison was preceded in death by his granny, Mildred Harrison and grandparents, John and Dora Kaylor.

Survivors include his wife, Marcell of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jason and Schelley Harrison and Coy and Lynzee Harrison, all of Gainesville; a brother and sister-in-law, Don and Renee Harrison of Asheville, North Carolina; a sister, Debbie Harrison Davidson of Asheville; and the apples of his eyes, his two granddaughters, Emily Harrison and Karissa Harrison, also of Gainesville.
