Services for Josie Hallum were conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Church of Christ, Marietta. Officiating were Ray Hilliard and Floyd Johnson.

Mrs. Hallum was born December 27, 1917, at Leon, the daughter of J.S. and Minnie Clark Hodges, and died September 30, 1994, in the Elmbrook Nursing Home, Ardmore.

She had lived in the Burneyville and Leon area all of her life and married Charlie C. Hallum July 1, 1939, in Love County. Mrs. Hallum was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Marietta.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, C.W. and Joyce Hallum of Burneyville and Keith and Sherry Hallum of Livingston, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Larry Taliaferro of Burneyville; a brother, Fred Hodges of Moore; a sister, Johnnie Corn of Marietta; four grandchildren, Wade Taliaferro, Wendy Birks, Jennifer Gunsolus and Kimberly Hallum; two step-grandchildren, Melany Barber and Dillion Lawson; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hallum was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie C. Hallum on September 5, 1976; three brothers, Ben Hodges, Ira Hodges and Lowell Hodges; and a sister, Vernie Doughty.

Services were directed by the Anderson-Kennedy Funeral Home with interment in the Leon Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Weldon Doughty, Jimmy Doughty, Randy Kirk, Paul Hallum, Wayne Doughty and Brent Hodges.
