Jimmy Raymond "Jim" Carlile of Nocona, TX, was born May 10, 1954, in Fort Worth, TX, the son of James Curtis "J.C." and Lucy Mahala Calicott Carlile. He passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012, at his home in Nocona at the age of 57. 
 
A resident of Nocona for the past year and a half, he had previously made his home in Perryton, TX for 10 years. Mr. Carlile and the former Mary Lynn Colston were married in Marietta on December 19, 1981. A cattle rancher, Mr. Carlile was a member of the American Angus Association. His hobbies included grooming show cattle and helping youngsters with their show cattle. He especially enjoyed going to the National Western Stock Show in Denver, CO.  Mr. Carlile was of the Baptist faith. 

Preceding him in death were his brother,
Larry Dale "Pete" Carlile on May 10, 205; and paternal and maternal grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lynn Carlile of the home; father and mother, J.C. and Lucy Carlile of Leon, OK; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Curt and Cathy Carlile and Kenny and Sherry Carlile, all of Burneyville, OK; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Carl Whitson of Krum, TX; half-sister, Janet Salazar of Corinth, TX; a special nephew, Wade Whitson of Krum; several other nieces and nephews; and the family dog, Gretchen.

Serving as bearers will be Jackie Dale Miller, Darrell Reed, Frank L. Lornes, and nephews, Robert Carlile, K.C. Carlile and Josh Carlile. Honorary bearers are Joel Hicks, George Hicks, J.B. Gray, David Colston, Don Colston, Chris Colston, Tommy Hartman, Charles Lain, Jr., Mrs. Marilyn Nichols and Dr. David Nichols.
