Graveside services with military honors for B G Caldwell, 73, of the Enville community, Love County, were held Tuesday, September 22 at 2 p.m. at the Leon Cemetery with Chuck McGill officiating.

Born July 28, 1947 at Leon, the son of James Jackson and Mildred Miller Caldwell, he died Friday, September 18, 2020 in the V.A. Medical Center, Oklahoma City. B G was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Leon High School. After graduation he joined the United States Army during the Vietnam War. For his service, B G was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal. After his service, he continued his education at Cooke County College in Gainesville, Texas. He married Linda Sue Wallace on December 24, 1986 in Gainesville. B G worked at Marietta Sportswear and WinStar. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, boat riding, and playing cards and dominoes with his friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Blaine Caldwell; stepsons, Richie Robinson and Jim Marris, Jr.; brother, Jackie Ray Caldwell; and sister, Mary Lou Buckaloo.

Survivors include his wife, Linda S. Caldwell, of the home; son, Bucky G. Caldwell of Marietta; stepson, David W. Marris of Marietta; stepdaughters, Gay Lynn Marris of Marietta and Tesa Jo Marris of Ardmore; brothers, James Caldwell and wife Carol, Mike Caldwell and wife Connie, Robert Caldwell and wife Connie, and Bill Caldwell; sisters, Janice Graham, Callie McGill and husband Vance, Carmen Cox, Rhonda Navarro, and Marcie Bartee and husband Tony; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers were Bill McGill, Jason Caldwell, Kasey Navarro, Dustin Caldwell, Austin McGill, and Laramie Caldwell. Honorary bearer was Chase Gray.
