Services for Rebecca “Sis” Ashcraft were Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in the Leon Baptist Church. Officiating was Rev. Johnny Sconce.

Mrs. Ashcraft was born September 25, 1913, at Leon and died December 11, 1994, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta, at the age of 81. She was the daughter of Oscar and Alice Whittington Graves.

A resident of Leon since 1966, she married Charles D. “Chock” Ashcraft in Marietta on December 21, 1929. Mrs. Ashcraft was a homemaker and a member of the Courtney Methodist Church.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Karen Ashcraft of Ft. Worth, Texas; two daughters and son-in-law, Carol Ann and Carl Farmer of Granbury, Texas, and Brenda Bone of Arlington, Texas; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ashcraft was preceded in death by her husband on July 19, 1978; and a grandson, Randy Farmer in 1985.

Services were directed by the Anderson-Kenned Funeral Home with interment in the Leon Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Larry Hicks, Bill Henry, Billy Ray Robinson, Danny Farmer, Billy Lynn Robinson and Howell Franklin.
