Carl Edward Stewart, of Lone Grove, OK, was born on December 24, 1958, in Houston, TX, to Billy Edward and Carolyn Yvonne (VanSickle) Stewart. He passed from this life on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at his Lone Grove residence at 64 years of age.
 
Carl attended elementary school at Ed Hodges Elementary in Balch Springs, TX, Agnew Jr. High in Mesquite, TX, and Mesquite High School in Mesquite, TX.
 
Carl had lived in several locations, including McKinney, TX, Wynnewood, OK, and Monument, CO, followed by 30 years in Marietta, OK, until he moved to Lone Grove to live with his daughter for the past two years. He loved to work and had numerous talents. Carl was a welder, carpenter, roofer, truck driver, heavy equipment operator on road construction, residential and commercial plumber, installed water and sewer main lines, and had worked at Matflex in Marietta on conveyer systems. He was truly a jack of all trades.
 
He also had numerous hobbies including leatherwork, putting knife handles on knives, shaping hats, shooting pool, hunting, fishing, and camping.
 
Carl was preceded in death by his parents.
 
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Billy Edwin Stewart and spouse Wanda of Marietta, Dakota William Stewart of Marietta, Anthony Joe Lopez and spouse Jennifer of Bowie, TX, David Lee Lopez and spouse Shirley of Bowie, and Bobbie Jo Leigh Mahurin and spouse Albert of Lone Grove; mother of his children, Penny Leigh Richter of Whitesboro, TX; brother, Kim Wayne Stewart of MN; sister, Sheila Ann Stewart of Dickson, OK; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
 
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 19, 2023, at 2:00 P.M., at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow at the Legate Cemetery.

Family visitation will be held Thursday, May 18, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home in Marietta.
 

The casket bearers will be Clayton Hughes, Billy Stewart, Dakota Stewart, David Lopez, Anthony Lopez, Albert Carmon and Michael Hart. Honorary casket bearers will be Vernon Hughes, Troy Turner and Bert Tickel.
