Interment followed in the Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.
Born July 31, 1951 at Pecos, Texas, the son of Charles and Juanita Baker Wilson, he died Monday, January 27, 2020 in Mercy Hospital Ardmore. Dana was a graduate of Pecos High School Class of 1970. He married the love of his life, Neda Hughes on August 16, 1977 in Gainesville, Texas. Dana served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Fanning (FF-1076) during the Vietnam War. He was inducted on August 24, 1972 and was honorably discharged on August 21, 1975. Dana was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Bronze Star. In 2000, he continued his education at Southern Oklahoma Technology Center obtaining an associates degree in computer science. Dana was a member of the Patriot Guard, American Iron Riders, Love County Mule Club, and Southern Oklahoma Coon Hunters Association. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and riding horses and motorcycles. Dana had many hobbies and activities that he enjoyed, but perhaps the time he enjoyed the most was spent with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, Margie Roskam.
Survivors include his wife, Neda of the home; son, Dana Allen Wilson, Jr. of Arlington, Texas; daughter, Melisa Ayars and husband Ray of Okmulgee; two brothers, Johnny Wilson of Thackerville and Robert Wilson of Gainesville; sister, Anita Powers of Thackerville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Serving as pallbearers were Chase Cavitt, Chance Cavitt, Johnny Dale Fanning, Mike Dominguez, Dana Wilson, Jr., and Willy Gaines. Honorary bearers were Raymond Ayars, Kash and Memphis Cavitt, Jerry and Frankie Burnett, and Rick Brannan.
