Graveside services with military honors for Clinton Euthayne "Clint"
Hopkins, 78, of Chattanooga, Tennessee will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday,
September 12 at Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.
Clint was born on July 7, 1941 in Bryan, Texas, the son of Max and Lopez
Hopkins. He passed away at his home on Friday, March 20, 2020 after a
lengthy illness. He married Kaye Hicks on December 8, 1968 at Ellington
Air Force Base in Houston. Clint retired from employment with the
federal government in January 1997, after serving at seven different
locations in the procurement/contracting field. His last place of
worship was North Hamilton Church of Christ in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee,
but he worshiped at Mount Vernon Church of Christ for over 20 years. He
also served as the Veterans' Service Officer for Franklin County for
eight years.
Clint was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kaye Hicks Hopkins; two
children, Brenda H. Leslie (Tommy) of Chattanooga and Edward L. Hopkins
of Soddy Daisy; five grandchildren, Amanda G. Leslie of Chattanooga,
Timothy A. Leslie (Rachel) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Clinton E. M.
Hopkins of Soddy Daisy, Joseph M. Hopkins, and Mason L. Hopkins of Ocean
Isle Beach, North Carolina; two grandchildren of the heart, Melissa
Knight of Bells, Tennessee and Traci Banks of Graham, Texas; five
great-grandchildren of the heart; and siblings, Donna Petree of College
Station, Texas, Janis Schweers of Sugarland, Texas, and Rex Hopkins
(Blanca) of Liberty Hill, Texas.
The family suggests memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
