Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Marietta.
Arrangements will be directed by Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home,
Marietta.
Born February 4, 1916 at Sivells Bend, Texas, the daughter of
Charles and Harriet Butler Neal, she died Saturday, April 22, 2006,
at Brighton Gardens Assisted Living, Oklahoma City.
Survivors include a niece, Cynthia Hisey Miller and husband, Lyle,
of East Lansing, Michigan; a nephew, Dr. Bren N. Hisey and wife,
Marylynn, of Oklahoma City; two great-nieces, Erin Elizabeth Hisey
and Hayden Anne Hisey of Oklahoma City; a great-nephew, Reagan James
Hisey of Oklahoma City; and two cousins, Sara Jo Hopkins of Marietta
and Pauline Butler of Byars.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Neal; mother,
Harriet Butler Neal; older brother, Harold “Hal” Neal; younger
sister, Helen Jane Neal Hisey; brother-in-law, Richard “Dick” Hisey;
and beloved husband of 43 years, George R. Harkey.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Brent Hisey, Lyle Miller, Mike Hisey, Jerry
Cochran and Sam Knight.
Visitation will be held from noon to 9 p.m., Friday, April 28, at
the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of
Marietta or the charity of one’s choice.
