Billy Ray Grice, 81, of Marietta, OK, was born on March 15, 1942, in Marietta to George Samuel and Lenora Belle (Hilton) Grice. He passed from this life on Friday, July 28, 2023, at his residence.

Billy Ray attended a vocational school in Okmulgee, OK, where he learned upholstery. He served many counties in the area with his talent. At first, he worked on furniture, then extended his business to vehicles and boats. He took pride in his work and always pleased his many customers.

Billy Ray was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, boat rides and many other outside activities, but most of all, he loved the family get-togethers where he could visit with everyone.

He was a good shade tree mechanic, he worked on cars, dune buggies, boat motors and could always figure out the problem. He liked to watch television when he was inside his home. Westerns and wrestling were his favorites. We are left with precious memories to remember him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers-in-law, Bernie Lemons and Charles Clark; two nephews, Jody Lemons and Clay Sampson; three sisters, Shirley Clark, Dorothy Sampson, and Betty Lemons; and one great-grandchild.

Left to cherish Billy Ray’s memory are his children, Danny Grice and Grace Beach and husband Curtis; grandchildren, Krista Talbott and husband Jason, Arica Lehman and husband Cody, Danny Grice and wife Jessica, Danielle Daniels, Trysta Kershner and Justin Kershner; great-grandchildren, Emma Talbott, MaKayla Cantrell, Colby Cantrell, Tristan Visser, Mylie Campbell, Kyle Lehman, Kaylee Grice, Carson Grice, Levisty Grice, Samuel Grice, Stoney Grice, Isabell Young, Cash Young, Abbi Grice and Kamdyn Vaughn; stepchildren, Coby Poe and Renae Wallace; sisters, Virginia “Jean” Peery and Carolyn Rains.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 3, 2023, at the Thackerville Community Church with Johnny Reed officiating. Interment to follow at the Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 2nd, at the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
