Mr. Faulkenberry was born June 5, 1920, at Oswalt, the son of W.C.
and Emma Knight Faulkenberry. He died Saturday, January 3, 2004, at
his home.
A resident of Love County most of his life, Mr. Faulkenberry was a
retired truck driver. He and Norma Jean Splawn were married June 5,
1943, in Marietta. Mr. Faulkenberry was a member of Marietta’s First
Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean Faulkenberry of the home; a
son, Donald Ralph Faulkenberry of Bethany; a daughter, Lorri Jean (Faulkenberry)
Hull of Overbrook; a brother, E.C. Faulkenberry of Marietta; a
sister, Pearl Wallace of Ardmore; and four grandchildren, Steven
Faulkenberry, Michael Faulkenberry and Suzanne Faulkenberry, all of
Norman, and Kaitlin Hull of Overbrook.
Mr. Faulkenberry was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers,
Hubert Faulkenberry and his twin brother Alf Faulkenberry; and a
sister, Opal Lang.
Services were under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home,
Marietta.
