Peggy Nora Chisum, 81, of Marietta, OK went to Heaven on March 11, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Brett Alberda officiating.

Interment will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marietta.

Peggy was born on March 22, 1940 in Burneyville, OK to Ethel (Brewer) and Tony Chisum and she grew up in the Burneyville area. From an early age, Peggy worked alongside her father, mother, and siblings at home and in the cotton fields. Peggy was a hard worker and a Christian all her life. Peggy attended Burneyville High School and attended Vo-tech and Beauty College. In the 70’s she worked for Cochran’s Hardware and later owned her own Bookkeeping/Secretarial Business in Ardmore in the 80’s. She later worked in Garland, TX as a beauty operator. Peggy's loves were her children, gardening, crafts, playing dominoes, and bingo. She loved sitting on her front porch and visiting with all the people who came to admire her beautiful flower bed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Jimmie Williams Jr., three sisters, Alma Chisum, Velma Jones, and Leona Hembree; and four brothers, Tony Chisum Jr., Billy Chisum, Kenneth Chisum, and Johnny Chisum.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Peggy Harp, Angela Taylor, Cheryl Daniel; one son, John Williams; five grandchildren, Samantha, Fallon, Jeremey, WR, and Jake; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lucille Sparks, Wanda Young, Betty Chisum; and many nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers are John Williams, WR Daniel, IV, Jeremy Vasquez, Charley Hembree, Curtis Hembree, and Cody Lawson. The family would like to thank the staff at the Lake Country Nursing Center for their wonderful care.
