She was preceded by her parents, Rudolph Stanton Folsom and Helen Fisher Folsom, and siblings Charles Tandy Folsom, Peggy Lynn Folsom, Terry Wendell Folsom and Jimmie Wayne Folsom.
Beverly was born on October 20, 1944, in Greenville, Oklahoma, and
graduated from Greenville High School. She married her high school
sweetheart Doug Holt and had a long and productive career selling metal
goods for Ryerson Steel.
After retirement, Beverly devoted herself to her grandchildren, and
later her great-grandchildren, who knew her as "Biggie". She was widely
known as their biggest cheerleader, showing up at every game or event,
always with candy in her purse to share. She was also known for popping
in to eat lunch at the school cafeteria with her great-grandchildren on
a regular basis, just for fun.
Fun loving was the best way to describe Beverly. No matter how tough
times were, she would always be the one looking on the bright side and
cracking jokes. She was always game for an adventure and had a permanent
gleam of mischief in her eyes. Wherever she went she brought the party,
whether to the State Fair of Texas for her birthday corny dog or an
impromptu trip to visit far-off family members. If there was a good
time, she was always ready for it.
Beverly is survived by a large and loving family including her daughter,
Tiffani LaFran Atterberry and husband Danny of Krum; sister, Mona Bland
of Bullard, Texas; her beloved grandchildren, Daniel Glenn Atterberry
and Brittany of Haslett, Texas, Christopher Ryan Atterberry of Dallas,
Jacob Holt Atterberry of Decatur, Texas, and Hailey Renee Atterberry of
Krum; and her great-grandchildren who brought her so much joy,
Elizabeth, Beau and Malachi Atterberry. She is also survived by her many
nieces and nephews and their children, all of whom she cherished.
Beverly will be remembered for all the heart she shared with her friends
and family. She truly loved each of them - and if you knew her, you knew
it.
Friends and family will gather together to celebrate her life on Sunday,
October 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Greenville Cemetery located on
Greenville Road, Marietta, OK 73448.
