Graveside services for Mabel G. Sykora, 82, of Marietta were Monday at 3:00 p.m. in the Greenville Cemetery. Officiating was Jimmy Outon. Born March 23, 1917, at Moore.
Mrs. Sykora died January 15, 2000, at her residence. She was the daughter of Lindsey and Mabel Milless Goff. Mrs. Sykora had lived in Love County since 1946. She married C. J. "Charlie" Sykora on March 31, 1938, at Clinton. Mrs. Sykora was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church. Her hobbies included collecting ceramic and porcelain dolls.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles "Butch" & Peggy Sykora of Marietta and Ernie & Dorothy Sykora of Muskogee; two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Sue & Jack Tow and Jerry Lynn & Bill Hill of Marietta; a brother, John William Goff of Jones; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Sykora was preceded in death by her husband on May 26, 1982; an infant son, Johnny Vel Sykora in 1962; infant granddaughter in 1969; granddaughter, Sabra Tow in 1972; and a brother, Leon Goff in 1982.
Services were under the direction of Kennedy Funeral Home.
The family has requested that donations be made to the Salvation Army, c/o Kennedy Funeral Home, 100 East Main, Marietta, OK 73448.
