Heston Elvis Reed, 78, of the Greenville community, was born February 24, 1930, at Leon, OK, the son of Vasker and Lillie Reed. He passed away Sunday, January 25, 2009, at his residence at Greenville. 
 
A resident of Love County all of his life, Mr. Reed attended school at Jimtown, OK. He was a self-employed welder and had also worked in County road construction. Mr. Reed was of the Baptist faith, having been baptized in Red River. He enjoyed camping, fishing and rebuilding motors and working on cars and trucks.
 
Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Elvis and Tracy Reed of Marietta; three daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Jon Grant of Ardmore, OK, Lois Reed of Phoenix, AZ, and Sherry and Tim Campbell of Fort Worth, TX; a brother and sister-in-law, Huston and Floye Reed of Leon; eight grandchildren, Casey Campbell, Mandy Castleberry, Kelly Steen, Jeremy Reed, Cass Grant, Cole Reed, Kyle Reed and Anthony Reed; nine great-grandchildren, Peyton Reed, Carson Castleberry, Gracie Campbell, Christine Campbell, Derek Campbell, Carson Campbell, Kitana Campbell, Kathryn Campbell and Stormy Campbell; a nephew, Devon Reed of Jimtown; and two nieces, Charlene Frazier of Jimtown and Diane Cryer of Ardmore.

Officiating: Pastor Steve Mayhan. Honorary bearers will be David Bell, Austin Bell, Tommy Vinson, James Donaghe, Denzil McGill and Joe Steen.
