Interment followed in
the Greenville Cemetery, Greenville.
Born March 30, 1958 in Ardmore, the son of William “Bill” and Peggy
Wessel Lewis, he died Saturday, December 1, 2012 in Mercy Health Love
County, Marietta.
Rick had been a resident of Love County for the past 20 years. He owned
and operated Rick’s Furniture and Appliance Store in Marietta, as well
as owning a number of rental properties in the community. He and the
former Jacque Lynn Davis were married in Marietta. Rick liked to fish,
bowl and e with family, friends and his dogs. He was of the Baptist
faith.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his stepfather, Eldon Howard
and grandmother, Doris Yeatts.
Survivors include his wife, Jacque Lewis of the home; twins, April Lewis
of Marietta and Michael Lewis of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Jackie
Ann Williams of Newcastle and Catherine Vickers of Ardmore; a brother,
Garry Don Goodlett of Oklahoma City; a sister and brother-in-law, Sherry
and Dennis Loper of Lone Grove; an aunt, Myra Beatrice Buckley of
Duncan; and two uncles, Carl Wessel of Duncan and Harvey Joe Lewis of
Overbrook.
Serving as pallbearers were Barry Hurst, Omar Ramirez, Dennis Loper, Sam
Quintana, Ronnie Hilton, David Jacobs and Ryan Hurst. Honorary bearers
were Garry Don Goodlett, Michael Lewis, George Buckley and Joe Lewis.
