Myra Beatrice "Sue" Buckley, a longtime resident of Comanche, peacefully passed away on Sunday afternoon, August 11, 2024, at Duncan Regional Hospital, at the age of 88.

Burial was held Wednesday, August 14 at the Greenville Cemetery in Love County.

Sue was born July 19, 1936, in Love County to Willie Dudley Lewis and Sofiona Tennessee Luna Lewis. She married George Buckley on March 11, 1997, in Kissimmee, Florida. Sue was an excellent cook, and if you ever came for a visit, she made sure you were well fed. She loved the opportunity to get together with family for birthdays and holidays. She and George were daily visitors to Meridian Kwik Mart, where they would drink coffee and visit with all the locals. She loved the fact that she shared a birthday with her niece, Sherri.

Survivors include her husband George of the home; daughter, Somer Brown (James Burnett) of Duncan; niece Sherri Loper (Dennis) of Lone Grove; nephew, Steve Lewis of Kingston; great-niece, Maudie Loper Armstrong (Anthony) of Lone Grove; great-nephew, Matthew Odell of Marietta; and two grandchildren, Whitley Brown and Wyatt Brown.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Sue Clark, her parents, six brothers and one sister.
