D/O George W. Whitfield and Viola (Matlock).
Research turned up some interesting info on Lougilla Whitfield. The tombstone clearly shows her death date as September 1894 but her parents are found on the 1900 census in Brown Co., TX with the oldest child in the home listed as "Louguilla" who was born September 1893 in Indian Territory.
Then the 1910 census shows the family in Hickory, Love Co., OK with the same children except Louguilla is no longer in the household. The mother lists 7 children borne to her and 6 of those children living at census time. The only child missing from the home is "Louguilla".
It seems there was only one daughter named "Louguilla" or "Lougilla" but why is her death date on the tombstone shown as 1894 instead of after 1900?
George Whitfield is mentioned in the "History of the Marsden Baptist Church" as being a pastor at one time.
This individual was not listed on any of the burial lists for the cemetery but does have a tombstone there.
Inscription: Daughter of G. W. and Viola Whitfield
