This child was not listed on any of the burial lists for the cemetery but has been documented to be buried in the cemetery.
Survey of the cemetery June 11, 2009 found no tombstone for this child but there are many unmarked slate stones, many burial stakes and burial rocks in this cemetery.
Sources for this child's birth/death/burial: 1. Book, "History of Marsden Baptist Church" by Pastor Dwight Hawkins and Judith Hawkins, 1992. Narrative on Fleming family submitted for book by Cloma (Fleming) Ellis youngest daughter of James Andrew and Emma E. (Strange) Fleming listed three unnamed children buried in the Gordon Cemetery. Cloma stated her parents married in 1897 but census records show Emma as still in her parents household and being single in 1900. 2. Census Record, 1910, Love Co., OK: Checking census records, we find that Emma and James Fleming are found on the 1910 census with a daughter, Zenobia P. Fleming (age 10 mo. old) in their household. This daughter is no longer listed with the family on the 1920 census in Love Co., OK. 3. Records kept by Emma Estell (Strange) Fleming, mother of the three children buried in the Gordon Cemetery, shared by Joyce Hodgson, July 2009, provided names, birth and death information on all three children buried in the Gordon Cemetery.
