Born February 17, 1948, in Ardmore, the daughter of Wilson and Estaline Pershica Wallace, she died Sunday, October 16, 2005, at her residence. A member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1922 of Gainesville, Texas, she worked for the VFW for 20 years. Mrs. Hermes was employed by Valentine for 14 years until the closing of the plant. She had a great liking for her dogs in her younger year, and took pride in taking care of her flowers in her yard and keeping house. Mrs. Hermes loved to cook and try new recipes. We will miss her greatly.
