Services for James D. Montgomery were held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the
First Baptist Church in Marietta with Rev. Steve Scoggins and Rev. Larry
Stevenson officiating.
Born July 21, 1952, in Ardmore, Mr. Montgomery died November 15
following an automobile accident.
A 1970 graduate of Turner High School, he had spent his entire life in
Southern Oklahoma. He was a member of the Eastman Baptist Church and had
served in the United States Army. He was employed as an oil field worker
at the time of his death.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Montgomery of Eastman;
one son, Johnny Dewain Montgomery of Eastman; one daughter, Trinity June
Montgomery of Eastman; a brother, Tim Montgomery of San Diego, Calif.;
two sisters, LeAnn Montgomery and Angie Montgomery, both of Eastman; his
grandparents, Mrs. Fannie Williams of Eastman and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence
Montgomery of Overbrook; his great-grandmother, Mrs. Inez Montgomery of
Ardmore; and his fiancé, Jill Thogmartin of Marietta.
Interment was in the Montgomery family cemetery at Eastman with the
Goodrich-Anderson Funeral Home directing the services.
Serving as casket
bearers were Jackie Dale Miller, Tim Johnston, Stan Idell, Mike Cox,
Jimmy Don Fincher, Jimmy Gale Tynes, Johnny Dixon, and Charles Gilbert.
