Harold Calvin Montgomery was born February 21, 1920, at Enville, OK, the son of Jesse Emory and Inez Wilson Montgomery. He passed away Monday, September 29, 2014, in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta, at the age of 94. 
 
A resident of Love County all of his life, Calvin retired from Chevron Oil Company as plant operator after more than 33 years of employment. He farmed and raised cattle until he went to work as a roughneck in West Texas for a while and then retired from the Loves Valley plant. He enjoyed hunting quail and competing with bird dogs he raised. Calvin was a Little League baseball coach for many years. He also enjoyed going fishing, especially taking his grandchildren along. His favorite pastime was eating biscuits and grape jelly.
 
Mr. Montgomery was married to Edna May Colston from 1940 to 1960, and then he and Francis "Frankie" Bray were married on April 20, 1979.

She preceded him in death on January 17, 2005. Others preceding him in death were his parents; son, David Montgomery; infant daughter, Mona Beth Montgomery; sister, Judy McGiboney; three brothers, W.M. Montgomery, Clarence Montgomery and Melvin Montgomery; and grandson, Johnny B. Montgomery.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Susan Montgomery of Overbrook, OK; two stepsons, Danny Bray and wife Danell and Joel Bray of Wilson, OK; stepdaughter, Charlene Brown and husband Gary, also of Wilson; sister, Marjorie Langford of Ardmore; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and three step great-great-grandchildren. 

Casket bearers will be Jerry P. Montgomery II, James E. Montgomery, Richard Clay Montgomery, Preston Taylor Montgomery, Joshua Paul Montgomery and Chaz Lee Benavides. Honorary bearers are Bill Dvorak, Johnny Hood, Earl Dosier, Sonny Horn, Raymond Self, Fred McKay, Frank McKay, Bobby Dean, Roy D. Henderson, Allen George, Casey George, Dustin George, Justin George, Dusty Bray and Michael Brown.
