Mary Magdalene Montgomery was born at Enville, OK, on August 2, 1926, the daughter of James Clarence Montgomery and Evelyn Richman Montgomery. She passed away Monday, July 14, 2014, at her home in Ardmore, OK at the age of 87. 
 
A resident of this area all of her life, Mrs. Brimager was a retired school teacher, having taught art in several Ardmore Schools as well as at Carter Seminary (now known as Chickasaw Nation). She taught 20 years in Ardmore's Washington Elementary and retired from Northwest Elementary. Many of her students won art awards and were acknowledged for their accomplishments in various media. She truly loved her students and was very proud of their achievements. 
 
Mrs. Brimager enjoyed gardening and doing yard work and was recognized several times for having "Yard of the Week" at Lone Grove, OK. She was a member of the Ardmore Retired Teachers Association, the Lone Grove Senior Citizens and the YMCA water aerobics class. As a member of Eastman Baptist Church, she especially enjoyed her Sunday School Class and teacher, Nadella Williams. Over the years, Mrs. Brimager cherished her monthly visits with a special niece, Leanne May and visits with her best friend, Lena Dupy. 
 
Preceding her in death were her parents; and a sister, Thelma Hitt.

Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Cindy and David Potter and Carolyn Brimager, all of Ardmore; brother and sister-in-law, J.C. Montgomery, Jr. and Rowena of the Eastman Community; sister, Bobbie Cox of Ardmore; two grandchildren, Jason Jump of Kingman, KS and Steven Potter of Ardmore; and four great-grandchildren, Jaxon David Potter, Micah Dean Jump, Matilyn Grace Jump and Maelyn Kaye Jump. 
 
Serving as casket bearers will be Jason Jump, Steven Potter, Mickey Davis, Donnell Cox, Terry Cox and Tim Montgomery. Honorary bearers are J.C. Montgomery, Jr., Carroll Wayne Montgomery, Randy Montgomery, David Potter, Rev. Ryan Redwine and Rev. Rick Sowell.
