Marvin Gaines, born on February 20, 1961, passed away on Sunday, December 8,
2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 63.
He had a passion for working out and enjoyed spending time at the casino. His
interest in cars and guns showcased his adventurous spirit. He was an avid
sports fan, often found watching basketball and football games. Above all,
Marvin's greatest pride came from his family, whom he loved dearly.
Marvin was a proud father and grandfather, cherishing the time he spent with his
children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his children Israel Cole and wife Kaylah of TN, Jessica Burch
and husband Andrew of OK, Andrea Hathoot and Randy of ND, Braden Saintz of OK,
Mac Reamey of Canada, Drake Thompson of AL, Natalie Gaines of OK, Natasha
Blackwell and husband Kenny of OK, Nesha Gaines and husband Jonathan Hale of OK,
Devyn Crisp and husband Cameryn of TX, and Nichole Clark and husband Taylor of
OK. He leaves behind numerous beautiful grandchildren. He is also survived by
his brothers, Mark Lornes and Cecil (Jr) Anderson; and sisters, Judy Anderson
and Diane Anderson amongst other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Mitch and Ethel Gaines, and Cecil
and Pearlene Anderson, as well as his brother, Arnold Lornes.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, December 15,
2024, at Shipman's Funeral Home in Pryor.
Funeral services for Marvin will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 16,
2024, at Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lorne Beck officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dunbar Cemetery in Marietta, OK, with Jonathan
Hale, Jr. Anderson, Braden Saintz, Israel Cole, Kenny Blackwell, and Jonathan
Anderson serving as casket bearers.
