Graveside services were held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Crow Cemetery for Charles Franklin Whitener. Officiating was Parlee Russell.

Mr. Whitener was born January 28, 1959, at Ringling, the son of Billy Franklin and Julie Faye Redmon Whitener, and died November 28, 1994, at his residence at Orr. He had lived his entire life at Orr and was a member of the Rubottom Baptist Church.

Survivors include his parents, Billy and Julie Whitener of Orr; three sisters, Lorene Smith, Linda Louise Whitener and Lyda Mae Baber of Wilson; and a brother, Jerry Wayne Whitener of Orr.

Assisting as casket bearers were Jack Eakins, Bob Redmon, Bill Russell, Don Baker, Wesley Walker and Charles Lyle. Arrangements were under the direction of the Alexander Funeral Home, Wilson.
