Interment followed in the Burneyville Cemetery.
Born May 17, 1932 in Anderson Township, Benton County, Arkansas, the daughter of Leonard Leroy and Mary Elizabeth Rone Noblitt, she died Thursday, June 9, 2011 in Mercy Health Love County, Marietta.
A resident of Love County most of her life, Mrs. Shinn graduated from Burneyville High School. She and Eugene “P. Jinks” Shinn were married in Bentonville, Arkansas on July 26, 1950, and he preceded her in death on April 9, 1989. Mrs. Shinn was a line employee at the Marietta Cookie Factory for more than 46 years. She enjoyed arts & crafts, but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Shinn was a member of the Marietta Church of Christ.
Others preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Richard Shinn; and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Sue Shinn.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Lynne Shinn of Rogers, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Tanyia Lynnette Hunter of Ardmore, Sarajane Elizabeth Bumpass and husband, Jason of Brunswick, Georgia, and Samuel Colt Shinn of Burneyville; two great-grandchildren, Mason Shinn and Kady Leigh Hunter; and special family members, Taylor “Tazz” Mashburn of Burneyville, Dottie and Aron Hicks of Jimtown, Stephanie Willis of Ardmore and Jessica Rains of Thackerville.Serving as pallbearers were Aron Hicks, Taylor Lewis, Gene Rhoades, Wayland Brown, Tommy Stewart and Dee Higgins. Honorary bearers were Charles Willis, Sonny Mobley, Duane Hicks, Matthew Bench and Charles Bench.
