Phillip Wayne “P.W.” Rackley, of Gordonville, TX, was born on January 7, 1946, in Burneyville, OK to Otis Euell and Elsie Virginia (Monroe) Rackley. He passed from this life on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX at the age of 78.

Phillip graduated from Leon High School where he played basketball. He was a welder by trade but had to retire in 2000 after he had a stroke. Phillip loved to dance to country and western music and was a rodeo man, but nothing gave him more joy in his life than spending time with his girls…The Rackley Girls.

Phillip was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Phyllis Rackley and Melissa Rackley; and brother, Euell Gale Rackley.


Left to cherish Phillip's memory are his daughters, Pamela Neu of Bellevue, TX, Crystal Stell and fiancé Calvin Davis of Gordonville, Cynthia Simpson and husband Jeffery of Columbus, TX, and Paula Empey and husband Edward of Thackerville, OK; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Renee Barlow of Decatur, TX; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. 


Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at the Burneyville Cemetery with Pastor Jim Duck officiating. Services are under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Marietta.


Casket bearers will be John Blackburn, Ryan Blackburn, Connor Hosay, Eddie Empey, Jeffery Simpson, Scott Rackley and Cody Barlow. Honorary casket bearer is Calvin Davis.
