Interment followed in the Burneyville Cemetery.
Born November 7, 1918, at Fox, the daughter of Thomas Worth and Jennie Hinton Orr Miller Harris, she died Wednesday, December 1, 2010, in the Lake Country Nursing Center, Marietta. A resident of Love County most of her life, Mrs. Hall taught elementary class and special education for 44 years. She and D.C. “Buck” Hall were married June 14, 1947, in Gainesville, Texas, and he preceded her in death on March 1, 1988. Mrs. Hall enjoyed farm work, gardening, painting, sewing, making beaded jewelry and playing the piano. She was a member of the Burneyville Baptist Church and was instrumental in starting a library at the church.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, SuAnn Hall on March 25, 1982; a son, Rick L. Hall on July 22, 2000; a brother, Emory Harris; and a grandson, Zeke Hall.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Bill “Jim” Hall of Burneyville, Dick and Dena Hall of Lewes, Delaware, Tom and Carolyn Hall and Cory and Janice Hall, all of Burneyville; two brothers, Paul Harris of Alabama and Tommy Harris of Sulphur; a sister and brother-in-law, Edyth and Joe McCallister of Missouri; 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Hall, Travis Hall, Jesse Speer, Curt Carlile, Robert Carlile and Terry White. Honorary bearers were men of the Burneyville Baptist Church.
