Graveside services for Lonnie Dean Cavitt, 67, of the Jimtown community will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2018, in the Burneyville Cemetery, Burneyville, OK, with Lawrence Anderson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Marietta, OK.
 
Born December 28, 1950, at Burneyville, Lonnie was the son of Joe and Addie Lou Hilton Cavitt. He went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, August 25, at Mercy Hospital Ardmore after a long, hard fought battle with cancer.
 
Lonnie and Barbara Hughes were married in Gainesville, TX on August 4, 1974, and she preceded him in death on June 5, 1994. He had been employed as an equipment operator for Love County.
 
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; son, Lonnie Cavitt, Jr; and three brothers, Bobby, James and Kenneth Cavitt.
 
He is survived by a son, Randall Cavitt and wife Kara of Jimtown, OK; sister, Lou Grice and husband Fred of Marietta; four grandchildren, Josey Cavitt and Jake Cavitt of Jimtown and Chase Cavitt and Chance Cavitt of Marietta; special nieces, Jean Ray of Ardmore and Vickie Roper of Lebanon, OK; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.
