Jimmy Dale Bone was born June 14, 1936, at Pike, OK, the son of Sidney Frances "Sid" Bone and Ura Pennygraph Kitchens Bone. He passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015, in the Renaissance Care Center, Gainesville, TX.
 
A 1953 graduate of Burneyville High School, Jim had been a resident of Love County most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army two years (1958-1960) and was awarded the Sharpshooter Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He married the former Evelyn "Dolly" Jones in Gainesville, TX on February 23, 1974.
 
Mr. Bone was an employee of Robertson's Hams for 22 years and then worked in public relations in the banking industry. Always involved in community activities, Jim served as the 1997-1998 President of the Marietta Lions Club, and for many years was on the fundraising committee for the Love County Junior Livestock Show. In addition, he had assisted with the church service at Lake Country Nursing Center each week since 1992. Jim was a member of the Marietta Church of Christ where he served as song leader.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, S.F. Bone, Jr. and Sammie Phillips; and a sister, Laura Belle Bell.

Survivors include his wife, Dolly Bone of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Chuck and Patty Bone of Marietta, Tim and Piper Robertson of Thackerville, and Sheldon and Kacie Bone of the Greenville Community; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and J.J. Parker of Ardmore, OK and Michelle and Jeff Cundiff of Pineville, LA; four brothers, Cal Bone of El Paso, TX, John Bone of Marietta, Marion Bone of Houston, TX, and Jerry Bone of Thackerville; two sisters, Ilene Skinner of Lawson, MO and Sue "Rosezella" Barrick of Marietta; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. 
 
Men of the Marietta Church of Christ will serve as honorary bearers.
