Zola Mae Olson

Zola Mae Olson died January 2, 2008 at her home in Crescent, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years, 6 months and 3 days. She was born June 30, 1924 in Omaha, Nebraska to Forest and Hazel (Riley) Gamble.
Zola Mae was born in Omaha but raised in the Crescent area and moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1939. She then moved back to Crescent in 1986. She was a member of the St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church and loved working in her garden and sewing.
Survivors include, two daughters, Judy Washington of Seaside, California and Linda Mae Goolsby and husband Darrell, Sr. of Detroit, Michigan; one son, Robert Dwane Olson of McDonald, Ohio; one sister, Cozetta Sam of Detroit, Michigan; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Coretha Herrin.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 8, 2008 graveside at the Zion Cemetery in Crescent. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent. Condolences may be sent to the family at abernathyaaron.com.
