Funeral services for Gwendolyn Ann Jones, 90, of Guthrie will be held at Smith Memorial Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2003 with Chaplain Dennis Pendleton of Mission Hospice of Oklahoma City officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Orlando, Okla. under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Guthrie.
Gwendolyn was born July 1, 1912 in Waldren, Kan. to Joe and Alma Ritter. She died Saturday, March 22, 2003 at Cole's Rest Haven in Guthrie.
Gwendolyn was a member of the First Baptist Church of Guthrie.
Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Schwandt and husband George of Mulhall and JoAnn McLaughlin and husband William of Edmond; one sister-in-law, Zola Mae Harmon of Cherokee, Okla.; four grandchildren, Dennis McLaughlin of Ridgecrest, Calif., Diane Tate of Edmond, Cynthia Claus of Corpus Christi, Texas and Barbara Bourne of Plano, Texas. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Jones, two sisters, Geraldine Ritter and Marie Yates; and two brothers, Paul Ritter and Harold Ritter.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday until 8 p.m. and until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
