Funeral services for Michael Eugene Stewart, 48, of Guthrie, Okla. will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 24, 1999, at Bible Baptist Church in Guthrie. Pastor Robby Robbins will officiate. Burial will be at Taylor Cemetery in Guthrieunder the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Guthrie. Michael was born Aug. 23, 1951 in Clinton, Okla. to Jack and Alice (Hatchet) Stewart. He died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1999, at Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Michael had lived in Guthrie since 1984, moving here from Oklahoma City. He was a carpenter and a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Michael married Marilyn Pipan on Dec. 29, 1978 in Durant, Okla.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Steward, of the home in Guthrie; his parents, Alice and Fred Taylor of Guthrie; three brothers, Johnny Steward and wife, Cary, of Guthrie; Fred Taylor and wife, Hollie, of Canyon Country, Calif. and Bobby Taylor of Guthrie; eight sisters, Maggie Boniface and husband, John, of Oklahoma City; Phyllis Ross and husband, Joe, of Marietta, Okla.; Linda Parks and husband, Richard, of Kingston, Okla.; Genda Bishop and husband, Jerry of Kingston; Anita Leon and husband, Richie, of Palmdale, Calif.; Joeta Stewart of Ardmore, Okla.; Vonda Christian and husband, Lynn, of Guthrie; Evelyn Naillieux, of Guthrie; and Linda Melick, of Overton, Nev.; and 41 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home until 8 p.m. Thursday, as the casket will not be open after services.
