Jared Ray Yost of Guthrie, OK passed away Friday, October 22, 2010 at the age of seventeen. Jared was born December 20, 1992 in Edmond, OK.
Jared especially loved fishing, hunting, dirt bikes, spending time with his friends and family, and working out with the Guthrie High School wrestling team.
Jared was a member of Vassar Church of Mulhall, OK where he enjoyed listening to the sermons spoken by his grandfather.
Jared was a senior and honor student at Guthrie High School and was looking forward to attending Oklahoma State University upon graduation and pursuing a career in engineering.
Jared is survived by his loving parents Christy and Bennie Barker; his beloved father, hunting and fishing partner, Rick Yost; his much loved sister Heather Yost and Cory; brother Joe Barker and Alegra; sister Brandy Bench and Eddie; grandparents Ralph and Lenora Yost and Georgetta and Jay Castle; nephews Elijah and Ben; nieces Shelby and Haylie; aunts and uncles Damon and Shari Yost, Chad and Kali Yost, Bobby and Karen McCoy, Dennis and Shiree McCoy, Linda and Stanley Hicks, Cindy and Bob Jurina, John and Rebecca Barker, Pattie and Fred Perrigan, JW and Rena Barker, and Bob and Donella Barker; and numerous cousins.
Preceding Jared in death are his grandparents Bob and Betty McCoy and all his great grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Community Church, Guthrie with Pastor Bill Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
At the family’s request, there will be no public viewing.
