Jason Wright
November 24, 1982 - October 23, 2016
Edward "Jason" Wright, 33, went to Heaven on Sunday, October 23, 2016. He was born November 24, 1982 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Ronald and Cathy Wright.
He will one day be reunited with brothers, Justin and Chris Wright, his wife Lindsay, and children, Skylar, Ethan, Jax, and Emily Wright.
First impressions say a lot about people and Jason was always described as filled with wonder and joy.
Jason always said he had two goals in life, to start a family and become a cop. Luckily he met his wife Lindsay during their Senior year of high school. With careful consideration, his dream career was shelved as he began his family and continued to live.
From storytelling and top of the line impersonations to a mastery of the grill, this amazing man led a beautiful and full life.
Then in 2014, the stars aligned and the opportunity to take his second dream off the shelf was offered and Jason accepted it. Taking to law enforcement like peanut butter to jelly, he was named Detention Supervisor of the year after only four months on the job. No one could deny his natural aptitude.
With friends and family at his back, Jason only continued to advance until he was chosen for C.L.E.E.T. training only a year and a half after being hired.
His dedication to the protection of the citizens of Logan County was overshadowed only by his dedication to family and God.
Slow to anger, quick to smile, Jason was easy to get along with. He spent his life giving time, love, and new perspectives.
Now Jason will live on as a remembered brother, a friendly story, a defining influence on his children, and a reminder to live life to its fullest. Remember Jason and reach out to your family and friends, and appreciate every day. God bless.
Funeral services to honor Jason’s life were held at 2:03 PM, Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Generations Church with Pastor Randy Whitlow officiating. Interment was held at Summit View Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
