Patricia Ann Evans Williams, age 81 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on May 13, 2017 in Guthrie. She was born on July 5, 1935 in Houston, Texas to Andrew J. and Pattye W. (Glass) Evans.
Patricia had lived in Guthrie since 1961. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Baylor in 1956, Master's in English from Central State College in 1977 and a PhD in English from OSU in 1990. Patricia attended the Lighthouse Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church, worked as a Missionary and helped form the Apostolic Faith School and Pre school.
Survivors include her daughter Sara Williams Hurst of Sheridan, WY, son Tommy Williams and wife Heather Garvey of Arlington, VA and son Peter Williams of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Zack and Matt Hurst and Caden and Kennedy Williams. Patricia was preceded in by her parents, son in law Larry Hurst, brother Jack Evans and step father D.A. Von Schwarz.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM, on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Summit View Cemetery with Rev. Billy Monden officiating. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday at the Lighthouse Tabernacle Church.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials made the
