Lois Sophia Webb
June 17, 1932 - October 01, 2016

Lois S. Webb, 84, of Guthrie, OK, passed from this life on October 1, 2016. She was born June 17, 1932 in Mulhall, OK, to George and Bea (Simpson) Hannah. She attended high school in Mulhall and also attended the Oklahoma State Business School in Stillwater.

Lois married Bill Webb on December 5, 1952 and they were blessed with 3 children.

Lois followed in her father’s footsteps working in county government. She served as Logan County Court Clerk for many years. After retirement, Lois couldn’t figure out what to do without politics in her life so she went to work for Rep. Frank Davis at the Oklahoma State Capitol.

Lois dedicated many years of service to the Republican Party. She served as an Alternate Delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1996. Through these experiences, she made many life-long friends.

After her second retirement, she and Bill enjoyed many years with their Airstream trailer. They traveled many places including Canada and loved the rallies and events like the Kentucky Derby.

The most important thing to Lois was her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents. Those who survive her are her husband, 2 daughters, Gaylee McCoy and Susan Davison and husband, Bobby, and 1 son, Dwayne Webb and Larry Buss. Her 3 grandchildren are Chase Davison and wife Chelsea, Eric McCoy and wife Kayley, and Ty Jordan McCoy and Hannah Hackney. She is also survived by her 2 sisters, Doris Ahrnsbrakof Denver, CO, and Wilma Wheeler of Everett, WA, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, October 6, 2016 at First Christian Church, Guthrie. Reverend Amy Rogers will be officiating. Interment will be directly following the funeral at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Wednesday, 3:00 - 7:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund, 402 East Noble Avenue, Guthrie, OK 73044.
