Leland Webb

Born: April 26, 1919
Died: December 23, 2010

Albert Leland Webb, Age 91, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, departed this life on December 23, 2010. He was born at the Ole’ Gray Place, near Orlando, Oklahoma on April 26, 1919, to George Orie and Effie Lula Bunney Webb. He was the fifth of nine children.

Leland worked for Peeler’s Oil Company then went to work for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation in 1953 and retired in 1984.

Leland married the love of his life, Imogene Dunn on August 31, 1943 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Leland and Imogene then started their family together in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

After retiring Leland and Imogene enjoyed traveling to Branson, Missouri and spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also could be found most mornings having breakfast at Braums and having lunch at Taco Mayo or Pizza Hut; where he was known as "Grandpa".

Leland is survived in death by three sons and a daughter: Ron and wife Peggy Webb of Edmond, Oklahoma, Marsha and husband Bill Tooley, Brian and wife Peggy Webb of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Brent and wife Shelby Webb of Perry, Oklahoma. Nine Grandchildren: Randy and wife Susan Webb, Julie Webb, Chris Tooley, Kendra and husband Steve Brooks, Brittany and husband Paul Martin, Sierra and husband Ryan Tharp, Sable Webb, Cameron and husband Waylon Rodgers, Karlie and husband Jon Harper. Nine Great Grandchildren: Amber, McKynzi, Sabrina, Rhyan, Taelor, Tyeson, Cutter, Jordan, and Russ. One sister and Two Brothers: Anna Belle Wignall of Perry, Oklahoma, Willis and wife Betty Webb of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Thurman and wife Jane Webb of Corpus Christi,Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife Imogene and daughter Mary Lou, his parents, two sisters, and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday-December 28, 2010, at Smith Memorial Chapel in Guthrie. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be held Monday, 10:00 AM-8:00 PM and Tuesday, 8:30 AM-1:30 PM

In memory of Leland donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
