Norma Jean Ward, age 83 of Guthrie, Oklahoma was born on September 12, 1937 in Purcell, Oklahoma to Lloyd and Mabel (Ott) Writesman. She passed away on September 21, 2020 in Guthrie.
Norma lived in Guthrie most of her life. She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, camping, and reading.
Survivors include daughter Pam Headlee of Norman, son Greg Breeden of Guthrie, son Douglas Stratts and wife Stephanie of New Braunfels, Texas, son Jeff Ward Sr. and wife Rhonda of Guthrie, daughter-in-law Kara Dickey of Wichita Falls, Texas, sister Linda Gilmore of Jenks, 14 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. Norma was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Mabel Writesman, son Shane Dickey, brother Gordon Writesman, and companion Dean Coffey.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Summit View Cemetery with Pastor Jacob Story officiating.
The family would like to thank Companion Hospice and her nurse Kris for the excellent care. They would also like to thank Guthrie Church of the Nazarene and Pastor Jacob Story. Jacob, you held a special place Norma's heart.
