Ella Mae (Sears) VanOrden, age 90, of Guthrie, gained her wings and was reunited with her loved ones on Thursday, December 10th, 2020.

She was born March 8, 1930, in Logan County, on her family farm just north of Guthrie to the late Everett and Ella Sears.

In 1942, she married the love of her life, Robert VanOrden. They lived together and almost inseparable for over 49 years until his death in 1992. She would follow him to the ends of the earth and often reminded friends and family that she would never find another man as perfect as her Bobby.

From this union, a daughter, Mary "Elaine" (VanOrden) Guther was born.

Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Robert VanOrden, daughter, Elaine Guther and a granddaughter Jill Shannon Bock, four (4) brothers; LeRoy Sears, Raymond Sears, Melvin Sears, and Cecil Sears.

Ella was survived by two granddaughters; Brandy (Wally) Walters of Guthrie, and Jana Cleary of Marlow, Oklahoma; grandsons Grant (Paige) Walters and Garrett Walters of Guthrie and Kade Cleary of Marlow; great granddaughters Camry and Emily Cleary of Marlow, Oklahoma and, Katsy (Josh) Taft of Guthrie; great great grandchildren Easton and Baker Taft, of Guthrie; a sister Vernona (John) Ham and a brother Calvin (Gloria) Sears; along with many nieces and nephews.

Ella was loved by many and loved back twice as much. Her beautiful smile will forever be missed. Graveside funeral services for Ella Mae will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

There will be no public visitation.
