Gene Raymond Tripp, age 85 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away on May 11, 2021. He was born on June 16, 1935 to C.J. and Clydene (Robinson) Tripp in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
Gene graduated from Guthrie High School. He joined the Navy where he was a seaman on the USS Boxer. Gene married Billye Marie Ferris on November 23, 1956 in Guthrie. He retired from Medley Material Handling where he worked as a partsman.
Survivors include Gene's nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Billye Marie Tripp, she passed away on April 29, 2013, his parents Clark and Clydene Tripp, two brothers; Glen Tripp and Richard Tripp, two sisters; Joann Harrison and Carolyn Spradlin and his mother-in-law Frances Ferris.
Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Paul Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Servies are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and Friday from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. The casket will not be open after the service.
