Gary Lynn Stout, age 73 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on May 15, 2020 in Guthrie. Gary was born on November 14, 1946 in Guthrie to James B. and Dorothy (James) Stout.

Gary lived in Guthrie his entire life. He attended Guthrie schools and played baseball and basketball and graduated from Guthrie High School in 1965. Gary married Sandra Berna on June 15, 1968 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He owned and operated Gary's Bait and Tackle for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing and bowling. Gary enjoyed donating to the Kiwanis Auction either merchandise from the bait shop or bought toys for the kids.

Survivors include his wife Sandra Stout of the home in Guthrie, son Gary Stout, Jr. and wife Mary of Guthrie, brother Don Laroy Stout of Guthrie, two grandchildren, Kimberly Stout and husband Jody and Bobby Johnson and wife Hailey and six great grandchildren, Duncan, Logan, Cash, Avery, Britton, and Aden. He is also survived by his niece Tanya Sullivan and nephew Jimmy Stout. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and one brother James Stout.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Gene Owen officiating. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. The service will live streamed on Hayes Funeral Home's Facebook page, (www.facebook.com/HayesFuneralHome/). Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only 50 people are allowed to attend the service.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 7:00 PM.
