Funeral services for Delbert Lee Stokes, 71, of Guthrie will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at First United Presbyterian Church in Guthrie with the Rev. Dale DePue and the Rev. Karen Rogers of First United Presbyterian officiating. Burial will be in Summit View Cemetery under the direciton of Smith Funeral Home.
Delbert was born Aug. 12, 1931 in Bison, Oklahoma to Home and Evelyn M. Stokes. He died Thursday, March 6, 2003 in Oklahoma City.
Delbert was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Guthrie, where he served as an elder. He was also a member of the Albert Pike Lodge No. 162 and the American Legion LeBron Post No. 58. He was a real estate broker associated with Ochs Real Estate in Guthrie.
Survivors include his wife, Delores, of the home; one son, Dennie Lee Stokes of Edmond; one brother, Robert Stokes and wife Gayla of Guthrie; and a large extended family.
Visitation for friends and family will be held Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. The casket will not be open after the service.
Memorials may be made to the First United Presbyterian Church, 102 E. Noble, Guthrie OK 73044.
