Frances was a graduate of Guthrie High School. She was a secretary at Guthrie High School. Frances also worked in the plutonium plant at Kerr Mcgee, on the assembly line at General Motors, as well as many years working on the farm.

She loved genealogy, reading the Bible, and the newspaper; even after losing the vision in one of her eyes. She loved her family very much and could tell you the first, middle, and last name of every person in her lineage for ten generations. She was a domestic and international traveler having visited forty-nine states and multiple countries in South America. James and Frances visited most of these places in a Winnebago motorhome. They sold many of their possessions and traveled full-time for at least four years. She was an extremely organized and prepared person. She already had food storage long before the pandemic hit. In her younger years she rescued a few exotic pets including a coyote, skunk, fox, and a racoon; eventually domesticating them.

She was a longtime member of the West Methodist Church in Guthrie and had a deep love for the Lord.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Summit View Cemetery with Reverend John Punni officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, 220 North 1st St., Guthrie, OK 73044.
