Clauda Jane Sears, 68, of Guthrie, OK, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015. She was born November 30, 1946 to Lucille Scott and Johnny Ladd.
She lived in Blanchard, OK, but was born in Chickasha. She spent most of her life in Guthrie, OK, and was married to Calvin Dale Sears on November 1, 1967. She was a beautician and a housewife / mother and then attended Central State University where she got her degree in Education to be a teacher in Texas. She also taught preschool at St. Mary Catholic School in Guthrie. She enjoyed sewing for her family, baking, traveling, watching OU football and Chicago Cubs baseball as well as being a wife and a grandmother. She was just an all around down to earth educated woman.
Jane is survived by her husband Calvin of Guthrie and her 4 children: Robert Scott of Latexo, TX, Todd Sears of Edmond, OK, John David Houston and Beth Sears both of Guthrie. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Kyle, Da Merya, Josh, Sera, Jasmyn, Samron, Seth, Ashley, and Johnny.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 24, 2015 at Summit View Cemetery with Brother Dan Vreeland officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Visitation will be held Thursday, 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM
