Jerry Lee Quave

Jerry Lee Quave was born April 27, 1933 to Frank and Rubye Quave in Madisonville, LA and grew up around the Hammond, Loranger, and Jena areas of Louisiana. He married Sharon Eileen Flynn in 1965, and to this union was born a daughter, Deborah Eileen. They lived in the Loranger area until 1984. In June 1984, they moved to Shawnee, OK to work in The Golden Rule Home where he worked 22 years, retiring in 2006. At that time, he moved to Guthrie, OK to a little house they had purchased and resided until his death on November 26, 2008.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Betty and Teresa, and two brothers Victor and Frank.
He is survived by his wife Sharon Quave of the home; one daughter Deborah Shaffer and husband Craig of Guthrie; two grandchildren Tiffany Sheree and Corey Devon Shaffer of Guthrie; one brother Roger Quave of Ponchatoula, LA, three sisters Joyce Griffin of Baker, LA, Patsy Chestnut of Vine Grove, KY, and Ruth Quave of Snow Camp, NC.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 1, 2008 at Smith Memorial Chapel, Guthrie. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Church of God Chapel, 304 Lakeview Avenue, Guthrie, OK 73044. Visitation will be held at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home on Sunday, 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
