Mass of Christian Burial for Twila Faye Priess, 91, of Guthrie, OK, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 30, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Celebrant Reverend Charles R. Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Twila was born June 19, 1923 in Oklahoma City, OK, to Edwin Mason and Violet (Parks) Allison. She passed away Friday, March 27, 2015 in Guthrie.
She married Robert Priess, Jr. on April 27, 1941 in Guthrie. They established a farm in Pleasant Valley, OK after World War II.
Twila is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert Priess, Jr.
She is survived by her son Robert Priess and wife Sharon of Coyle, OK, and daughter Barbara (Priess) Smith of Guthrie. Twila is also survived by her grandchildren: Bobby Priess and Amy of Coyle, Deanna Duehning and husband Matt of Guthrie, Lisa Reece and husband Greg of Guthrie and Michelle Boatright and husband Kent of Tulsa, OK. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Dustin Priess of Edmond, Maycen Boatright of Tulsa, Allison and Madison Duehning, Devin, Myah, and Zane Reece all of Guthrie. Also surviving Twila are two sisters-in-law: Mary Ruhl of Kingfisher and Catherine Beck of Edmond and long time family friends, the Bob and Mary Paul family of Coyle.
The family wishes to thank her caretakers at Ash Street Place and Companion Hospice.
Visitation will be held Sunday, 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM. The casket will not be open at any time.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to St. Mary Catholic School, 502 East Warner, Guthrie, OK 73044.
