Mass of Christian Burial for Robert James “Bob” Paul, 77, of Coyle, OK will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 10, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Guthrie, OK with Reverend Robert Wood officiating. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Bob was born on May 28, 1934 to John and Hilda Paul. He passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012 in Oklahoma City, OK after a long battle with leukemia.
Bob married Mary Elizabeth Hall on January 19, 1957; they celebrated their 55th anniversary this year with their family. Bob and Mary made their home on his farm east of Guthrie, where he enjoyed raising cattle.
He was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church and co-owner of Guthrie Farm Equipment for many years, until his retirement at which time he opened Bob Paul Farm Equipment as a hobby.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, sister Margaret Gilmore, and brother Herman Paul.
He is survived by his wife Mary Paul; four children Teresa Davis and husband Clint, Bobby Paul, Jr. and wife Cynthia, Timmy Paul and wife Anita, and Chris Paul and wife Lynda; four siblings Bud Paul of Tulsa, OK, Mary Blatt, JoAnn Seaton both of Guthrie, and Ed Paul of Brownfield, TX; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren and the fourth due in August.
Visitation will be Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and a Rosary Service held at 7:00 p.m., Friday at Smith Memorial Chapel.
